Jul 29, 2016· If you look into the history of gold in alberta it is interesting to note that over a 3 year span in the 1890's there was 7500 ounces of gold taken out of the North Saskatchewan just in the area between Ft. Saskatchewan and Devon. Alot of this gold was mined using big dredges. Most of the dredges were destroyed in a flood either in 1895 or 1915.
